What does 8returns offer?
8returns is the returns platform that enables eCommerce shops to provide a seamless, self-serve returns experience.
The 8returns integration currently only covers one data flow: 8returns imports the information which order including which items have been returned in what condition.
- 8returns return portal to offer customized return flows to their end customers. 8returns features for the return portal include:
- vouchers
- custom return reasons
- return reasons per item category, e.g. shoes: leather scratches
- exchanges
- 8returns return management to refund returns and clarify customer service requests. 8returns features for the return management include:
- automated return refund
- holistic return refund rules and logics
- Note: There is no possibility to provide feedback to what should happen with return edge cases in the warehouse in 8returns, only in ZenOS
- Note: There is no possibility to see incoming returns in ZenOS, only in 8returns
How to set up the 8returns <> ZenOS Integration?
1. Become 8returns customer
Since the integration was built by 8returns, the setup is happening on their side.
2. Reach out to your Zenfulfillment Account manager and ask to create and share API credentials
- Provide 8returns with the following information: Client ID, Client secret, API key
Note: API credentials are per shop connection
3. Set up webhooks for your shops
- Go to ZenOS dashboard -> Settings -> Stores -> "3 dots" icon -> Webhook settings -> Add webhook:
- Type: ORDER_RETURN
URL: https://dashboard.returnsportal.online/hooks/alaiko/your-shopify-store-name
Please replace "yours-shopify-store-name" with your actual Shopify domain.
- Key: Set secure 10 digits password
- Active: TRUE
Note: there is one webhook per webhook type per shop
4. Contact support@8returns.com to enable the integration for you. Attach your credentials in a secure way (e.g. use LastPass, 1Password, etc)

- API Key
- Webhook Key
How to manage returns in ZenOS created in 8returns?
- There is no Incoming or Arrived status for the returns created via 8returns. Once the warehouse has processed a return, it immediately ends up in Completed.
